Sign the Petition to Congress

WHEREAS: Most Americans rent or own their home outright, and the vast majority of homes (98%) are not in foreclosure.

WHEREAS: Both banks and borrowers should be responsible for their actions, and the government should not reward reckless behavior.

WHEREAS: It is wrong to force all taxpayers-- including renters who are already subsidizing home owners through the tax code-- to pay for additional bailouts for big banks and home flippers.

BE IT RESOLVED: That Congress should not pass any bailout programs that reward risky borrowing and lending. Let the free market sort it out!

San Francisco, CAJune 27, 2009 In a true capitalist system, those who make BAD investments, and make faulty decisions by default should be held accountable for their OWN mistakes due to their OWN lack of diligence and research. The government is too large, too much money is slipping through the cracks unaccounted for. Its time for the citizenship (forth branch of gov't) to become the foremost decision-maker for our president. He should NOT decide for us, but rather we decide for him and he implements our decision.

Sid C. Kingman, AZJune 14, 2009 There are no good solutions. The government has worked diligently for many years to try to keep the economy in a state of growth and thereby continuously labored to defer the inevitable contraction that business cycles must go through. The more distorted the economy became, the more ludicrous and outrageous (ingeneous?) the activity became to perpetuate growth and prosperity. Even now, the government is trying like crazy to stop the inevitable, generate growth and propserity or at least slow down the train wreck. Unfortunately, at this point, I don't think there are any more "solutions". I think Washington and our reps. intended for the best but apparently the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
